did you know...

  • This trail consists of 5 interconnected loops that total about 26 miles of non-motorized trails.

  • The trail system is a favorite to many because of the scenic Indian River, bogs, rolling hills, lakes and forested ecosystems!

  • Minimal rock, but exposed roots and small washouts are common.

  • Majority of trails are single-track, however, there are some double-tracks.

  • East side of trail system stays drier than Central and West.

  • Trails are very well marked at intersections.

  • Across from County Road 440 and Middle Trailhead is a loop named the Enchanted Forest, it is a must see!

  • Bring your own line for Picket Posts at campsites.

  • Campsites require reservations except Middle and West Trailhead.

  • Middle Trailhead has fire rings & a vault toilet for use, bring your own water as hand pumps may not be in service.

  • Map Apps: Upload maps BEFORE getting to camp as cell service can be spotty.
  • Managed by: USFS
